About the Team

Locker is an Irish venture-backed start-up based out of Galway. More importantly, we’re a group of fans who are obsessed with sport. Watching it, reading about it and betting on it. And we’re looking to change the way sports fans do all three.

Our passionate team is building an industry disrupting mobile application which will change the sports media industry and internally we’re growing fast. We’re recruiting the best talent to help us turn Locker from a small Irish start-up in to a success story.

About the Role

You will work directly with the Head of Product, CCO and CTO to build and deliver actionable retention strategies across channels such as push, social and email to give Locker’s users the fastest and most personalised sports news experience in the market. Due to the nature of sports, this role will require some weekend shifts.

What we are looking for

Attention to detail!!
Experience writing copy. A background in copywriting, journalism or social management would be helpful.
A solid understanding of Google Analytics.
Basic graphic design experience helps, but isn’t a requirement.
Familiarity with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Also TikTok (we’re too old!)
Most importantly, a passion for reading and watching multiple sports. We want sports nuts. The people who will uncover the best stories for our users to enjoy.

Responsibilities

Work alongside product team to manage day-to-day push strategy, sending personalised notifications to thousands of die-hard sports fans.
Curate content for the app, ensuring users always see the top breaking stories.
Discover user data trends to help refine retention strategy.
Create content for social, and manage existing social channels.
Continuously look for ways to surprise and delight our customers to improve retention.
